Self-Luminescence
Redesigning bioluminescent mushroom systems within plants. Building autonomous circuits that glow continuously without external substrate addition.

LEP develops proprietary self-luminous and high-brightness technologies to bring electricity-free, low-impact “self-glowing plants” to society.
Bringing a new light in harmony with the environment that requires no electricity. Transforming the very concept of illumination in urban and living spaces.

A one-of-a-kind, proprietary bioluminescent protein technology. Built on cells that glow by themselves, we are advancing the social implementation of self-luminous plants.

Redesigning bioluminescent mushroom systems within plants. Building autonomous circuits that glow continuously without external substrate addition.

Optimizing bioluminescence energy transfer with our Nano-lantern technology to achieve 20× brightness over conventional methods.

By precisely controlling light wavelengths, we achieve approximately 20 color variations in luminescent proteins.
From extraordinary immersion to everyday infrastructure. Implementing self-luminous technology across three domains.
Large-scale installations using luminous plants for hotel lounges, commercial illumination, weddings, and concerts—creative expression freed from the constraints of power and wiring.

Glowing houseplants for relaxation and luminous flowers for gifts. Through “life's light,” we deliver moments of tranquility and wonder to everyday life.

Aiming to implement “zero electricity, CO₂-negative” environmentally harmonious lighting with self-luminous trees for next-generation urban development.

LEP presents its trajectory not as mere achievements but as projects—always moving forward.

This project grew out of the Tawaramoto Reborn Project, an initiative dedicated to revitalizing the town of Tawaramoto in Nara Prefecture. As part of its efforts to connect the local community, culture, food, and natural environment while creating new value for Tawaramoto, we held an innovative experiential event combining the light of plants, food, and wellness.
