LEP Selected for “GREEN VALLEY SHIBUYA,” a Greentech Startup Support Program by Tokyu Land Corporation

LEP Inc. is pleased to announce that it has been selected as one of six startups for “GREEN VALLEY SHIBUYA,” a greentech startup support program operated by Tokyu Land Corporation in partnership with Shibuya Startups Inc., Entrepreneur Roundtable Accelerator, and Nomura Research Institute, Ltd.
The program is conducted as a partnership project under “TOKYO SUTEAM,” the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s startup support initiative. It provides greentech startups from Japan and abroad — those tackling the environmental challenges facing cities worldwide — with demonstration opportunities in public spaces and Tokyu Land Corporation’s diverse assets across the Greater Shibuya Area, along with networking and fundraising opportunities with investors and corporations in Japan and overseas.
LEP develops bioluminescent plants that glow on their own, powered solely by photosynthesis with no electricity required. As part of the program, we will exhibit our glowing plants in Shibuya in November 2026, conducting a demonstration to evaluate their ambient lighting effect and public receptivity to plants as a next-generation light source.
Through plants that glow without electricity, we aim to contribute to the realization of carbon-neutral urban spaces. We look forward to sharing our glowing plants with visitors in Shibuya.
